We have a lot of Cricket stores in Austin and the old logo always made it seem like a third-rate cell phone provider where you would buy a “burner” if you needed to have a conversation with a drug lord, or something. The old logo was really out of whack, with some really unfortunate typographic decisions in play. The new logo manages to maintain the “equity” of the strong diagonal line of the “k”, through a rather nice and simple wordmark where the upwards diagonal of the “k” is highlighted in green. Nothing to get too excited about but definitely, a successful evolution.

Update: Design credit goes to Interbrand. A few images and videos have been added to the post.
